Chiyono Hasegawa, Japan’s oldest person, has died at a facility in Southern Japan on Friday. The facility where she died confirmed her death but dont want to disclosed further. She was born on November 20, 1896.

After her death, Japan’s oldest person now is a man, 114-year-old Jirouemon Kimura, who was born April 19, 1897. Kimura is recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest living man.



On the 28th of June 2012, Awka Community in Anambra state of Nigeria will bury ICHIE NGENEBO ADIGWE (Otochalu Awka) the oldest man in the world who died on 31st of March 2012 at 113 years in his home town Umuogbunu Village, Awka, His is older than Tanabe of Japan with one year if the Guiness World Records is correct.
